Have a story of faith, a poem, a reflection, a photo, a comic, a drawing or a bit of good humor? We’d love to see it. Every issue of The Lutheran Digest is filled with the words and work of readers like you, sharing the hope and joy of everyday faith.
What we’re looking for
The Lutheran Digest is a Christian publication, so every piece should reflect faith in Jesus Christ. We welcome:
Stories of faith, God’s grace and His work in everyday life
Poems, prayers, devotions and reflections
Gentle, clean humor
Photos, drawings, comics and artwork that point to faith, hope and God’s goodness
Pieces that encourage, inspire or bring a smile
A few guidelines
Written pieces should be 500–1,200 words. Poems, prayers and brief reflections may be shorter.
Photos and artwork should be clear, high-quality images.
Please send only your own original work.
Submissions should be consistent with Christian faith and appropriate for readers of all ages.
Include your name, mailing address and a sentence or two about yourself.
How to submit
Email your work to editor@lutherandigest.com. Paste writing into the email or attach it as a Word document. Attach photos and artwork as image files.
What happens next
We receive many more submissions than we can print, and we read every one. If your piece is selected, we’ll contact you before it appears in an upcoming issue. Contributors are paid for work that is published, with an additional payment if it is also shared online. Submissions are not returned, so please keep a copy for yourself.
By submitting, you give The Lutheran Digest permission to publish your work in print and online.
